Edmonton has loads of things to do this upcoming week, from hockey games to ice castles, the city has it all! Whatever you’re looking to do, Edmonton will be able to provide an option. Don’t worry, though, we’ve rounded up the best things to do this week in Edmonton right here, just for you.

Let’s jump right in!

Rabbit Hill is Edmonton’s largest snow resort, offering over 40 acres of terrain and a thrilling tube park for over 70 years. It is now open for the winter season.

The snow is finally packed in, and it’s time for those winter hikes and trails in Edmonton.

We’ve rounded up some of the best winter hikes and trails in and around Edmonton. Whether you’re a beginner, a seasoned hiker, or just a casual trail lurker, we’ve got something for everyone. These trails are also good in the summer and for year-round walking, but we recommend them this time of year.

Watch these teams face off in an epic battle on the ice.

Time: 8 p.m.
Where: Rogers Place — 10220 104th Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: $48+

This multi-venue music and arts festival takes over the downtown core, spreading out across the city, and features a number of free outdoor activities. It started in 2019, and it’s been spreading winter cheer in Edmonton since.

When: Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026, to Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026

Every week on Wednesdays, The Grindstone hosts one of Edmonton’s only stand-up comedy open mic nights. Open to both first-timers and seasoned comics, each set is five minutes for some good laughs.

Where: Grindstone Theatre — 10019 81st Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alta.

These magical castles are only available in five locations, and Edmonton is one of the lucky cities. This celebration has been ongoing since 2011 and remains one of the most sought-after winter attractions of all time.

Get ready for an unforgettable night of laughs at The Grindstone Theatre!

This improv night is an evening of top-tier comedy featuring the city’s best improvisers, performing hilarious, unscripted scenes based on your wildest suggestions.

When: Thursday, Jan. 22, 2026
Time: 7 to 8 p.m.
Where: Grindstone Theatre — 10019 81st Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alta.

Not once, but twice! This time, the Oilers are facing off against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Friday Night Trivia is hosted each week at Telus World of Science’s Purple Pear Restaurant. This event is not only free but also family-friendly, so everyone can participate and compete.

When: Every Friday
Time: 7 to 9 p.m.
Where: Telus World of Science — 11211 142nd St. NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: Free

Immerse yourself in the lush botanical gardens of Muttart Conservatory, combining nature with art for a multisensory experience. Featuring DJs and dancing, as well as other visual performers, this night will transform the gardens into a house music landscape.
