JTBC and Netflix will continue their excellent working partnership in 2026 with the release of a new weekly K-drama, titled We Are All Trying Here.
We Are All Trying Here is an upcoming licensed South Korean Netflix Original directed by Cha Young Hoon (Welcome to Samdal-ri), and written by Park Haw Young (My Liberation Notes).
When is We Are All Trying Here coming to Netflix?
As part of Netflix Korea’s 2026 slate, it was confirmed that We Are All Trying Here would be coming to Netflix sometime in Q2 2026.
JTBC has announced that the K-drama will be released on its network and on Netflix on April 18, 2026. There will be 12 episodes, with new episodes dropping on Saturdays and Sundays until the series finale on May 24, 2026.
Each episode will have an approximate runtime of 70 minutes.
What is the plot of We Are All Trying Here?
Netflix has provided a logline for the K-drama:
“A man struggling with jealousy and envy strives to find peace of mind while spiraling alone in a world where everyone else appears to be winning.”

Koo Kyo Hwan, Go Young Jung, Oh Jung Se, Kang Mal Geum, and Park Hae Joon are the lead cast members of We Are All Trying Here.

Koo Kyo Hwan plays Hwang Dong Man. He previously starred in Netflix’s Parasyte: The Grey, DP, and Extraordinary Attorney Woo.
Go Youn Jung plays Byeon Eun A. She recently starred in Netflix’s Can This Love Be Translated, and previously starred in Resident Playbook, Alchemy of Souls, Sweet Home, and Law School.
Oh Jung Se plays Park Gyeong Se. The actor has starred in several Netflix projects, such as When Life Gives You Tangerines, When the Stars Gossip, Mr Plankton, Sweet Home, and Queen of Tears.
Kang Mal Geum plays Ko Hye Jin. The actress has also starred in When Life Gives You Tangerines and other Netflix dramas, including Squid Game, Gyeongseong Creature, The Good Bad Mother, Divorce Attorney Shin, The Silent Sea, and Thirty-Nine.
Park Hae Joon plays Hwang Jin Man. The third cast member to have previously starred in When Life Gives You Tangerines, he played the middle-aged Yang Gwan Sik. He has starred in multiple Netflix projects, such as Aema, Arthdal Chronicles, Believer 2, and 20th Century Girl.
