All 6 Netflix Documentaries Coming in February 2026

Netflix tackles some big subject matters in its 6 documentaries for February 2026. Let’s take a look at what the streamer has in the pipeline.

Netflix doesn’t have a large number of new documentaries coming in February 2026, but the streamer does offer a wide range of subjects, from true crime to sports to a new Gordon Ramsay series. See everything coming up in the US in February with our comprehensive guide.

Glitter & Gold: Ice Dancing

Coming to Netflix: February 1

Netflix recently debuted a new ice skating drama Finding Her Edge, which (while pure fiction) offered an insight into the hard work and determination that goes into making it big in the sport.

This brings us to Glitter & Gold, a new documentary that explores the real-life blood, sweat, and tears as the sport’s top couples skate for gold and glory. This comes at a good time, too, with the Winter Olympic Games 2026 occurring in February 2026.

The Investigation of Lucy Letby

Coming to Netflix: February 4

The story of Lucy Letby is one of the most harrowing and distressing in serial killer history. Letby was a neonatal nurse at the Countess of Chester Hospital. Between 2015 and 2016, she murdered seven infants — for which she was convicted. She was also convicted of the attempted murder of several other children. Her crimes were unthinkable, and there appears to be no real motive behind them. Letby is the UK’s most prolific child murderer.

The story has already been documented several times before, including a BBC Panorama documentary. In Netflix’s feature-length exploration of the case, titled The Investigation of Lucy Letby, there’s previously unseen police body-cam footage. It also includes police interviews, covers the immense social media reaction to the case, and more. The film is directed by Dominic Sivyer (The Masked Scammer).

Queen of Chess

Coming to Netflix: February 6

The game of chess already has a rich history at Netflix thanks to 2020 miniseries The Queen’s Gambit. But again, that was fiction. Upcoming documentary Queen of Chess chronicles the journey of a Hungarian girl and chess prodigy, Judit Polgár, who went face-to-face with some of the most celebrated chess players ever. Her legacy in the game is immense, being regarded as the single greatest female chess player of all-time.

“We are excited to bring Judit’s story to Netflix, where people around the world will be able to witness just what is possible when we challenge assumptions about gender, talent, and opportunity,” director Rory Kennedy teases.

Matter of Time

Coming to Netflix: February 9

The lead singer of legendary rock band Pearl Jam, Eddie Vedder, is a certified rockstar. His musical career is glittering, but that’s not the only thing that he’s ardently pursued: the musician has been helping to fund a cure for the genetic skin condition Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) since 2010. Alongside his wife Jill, Vedder founded the EB Research Partnership (EBRP) over 15 years ago, funding research to treat the disease.

Now, Netflix has picked up a documentary, Matter of Time, further spreading awareness on the subject. The documentary sees Vedder completely sell out two solo shows at Seattle’s Benaroya Hall in 2023, with all proceeds going towards EBRP.

“This film captures all angles of the EB Community experience,” Vedder said in a statement. “From families and researchers, to volunteers and donors all coming together for an event that includes a big dose of music for good measure. Please join in and meet these incredible people. Their stories will remain with you.”

Matter of Time premiered at various film festivals in 2025, including the San Diego International Film Festival, where it won Best Picture.

Being Gordon Ramsay

Coming to Netflix: February 18

Gordon Ramsay is arguably the world’s most famous celebrity chef. Both a chef and media personality, he’s best known for TV reality shows Kitchen Nightmares and Hell’s Kitchen. This documentary explores the lead-up to one of Ramsay’s biggest ventures ever: the opening of five culinary experiences in one of London’s tallest buildings, 22 Bishopsgate. He’s always been happy to dish out criticisms on restaurants — but now he’s opening one with expectations through the roof. Can he deliver?

The official synopsis reads: “This is Gordon as we have never seen him before, as he opens the doors to his home and businesses. Over a 6-month window, the expansion of his restaurant empire begins to take shape and, with the official launch fast approaching, we see Gordon balance the challenges that come with it with his life as a husband to Tana, and father to their six children.”

The new Formula 1 campaign isn’t too long away, and in February, Netflix brings back Drive to Survive for season 8. The long-running series takes fans behind the scenes, offering viewers a first-hand look at how the drivers and teams prepare to battle it out for the 2025 FIA Formula 1 World Championship. The emotional rollercoaster, bitter rivalries, high stakes, and pressure — it’s all there. Experience the saga through never-before-seen footage. There’s some big storylines in this season, not least Lewis Hamilton’s big move to Ferrari, and the title fight between three drivers.

Drive to Survive comes from Academy-Award winner James Gay-Rees (Amy, Senna) and Paul Martin (Diego Maradona) for Box to Box Films.
