Savannah Guthrie sent an emotional message to her Today colleagues during the first studio visit since her mother, Nancy Guthrie, 84, was abducted from her Tucson, Ariz., home.
On Thursday, March 5, the NBC morning show co-anchor returned to Today’s Studio 1A. More details about that visit were shared on the Friday, March 6 episode.

During the reunion with her coworkers, Savannah was visibly emotional as she embraced her Today colleagues. She thanked them for “caring about my mom as much as I do.”
“I wanted you to know that I’m still standing and I still have hope,” she told them. “I don’t know what version of me that will be, but it will be.”

“I’m holding onto my faith,” Savannah continued. “I still believe. And as my mom would say, ‘Where else would I go?’”
Additionally, she confirmed that she eventually plans to return to Today. She did, however, not share a date for her return.
“I have every intention of coming back,” she told her Today coworkers. “I don’t know how to come back, but I don’t know how not to. You’re my family. And I would like to try.”

On Feb. 1, the Pima County Police Department (PCSD) launched its search for Nancy, who was last seen at her Catalina Foothills home on Jan. 31. Savannah and her siblings, Annie and Camron, have posted several video messages to the potential captor(s) since then and have received several alleged ransom notes. Most recently, Savannah offered a $1 million reward for any information leading to Nancy’s return.
