Hilton has announced plans to double its hotel portfolio in Brazil by 2030, with nearly 30 hotels currently open and a pipeline of new properties across multiple brands and locations.
In 2025, nearly a quarter of Hilton’s total room approvals in the Caribbean and Latin America region were in Brazil. The company currently operates nearly 30 hotels in the country and aims to double its presence across 10 brands by 2030. Recent 2025 openings include Tru by Hilton Chapeco, Hampton by Hilton Caraguatatuba Serramar, and DoubleTree by Hilton Caracol Canela. Tru by Hilton Chapeco continued the brand’s growth in the region, Hampton by Hilton debuted in Caraguatatuba, and DoubleTree by Hilton Caracol Canela opened in the Serra Gaúcha region of Rio Grande do Sul.
Hilton’s 2025 pipeline in Brazil reached nearly 30 hotels, with projects in multiple regions to serve both business and leisure travelers. The company is expanding into new destinations beyond São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, with hotels in locations such as Maceió and Porto Alegre, as well as developments in other states.
Recent and upcoming openings include Motto by Hilton Recife Antigo, which opened last month as Hilton’s first hotel in Recife. In 2026, Hilton plans to open Casa Costa Ilhabela, Curio Collection by Hilton, a 46-room boutique hotel. Hilton Manaus in the Amazon is scheduled to open in 2028, located between two major malls and near the international airport. Hilton Garden Inn Natal is expected to open in 2028 in Ponta Negra, Natal, with 164 rooms. Sanpiero Hotel Caminhos de Pedra, Curio Collection by Hilton, is planned for Bento Gonçalves in 2028, further expanding Hilton’s presence in the Serra Gaúcha region.
Hilton is also developing airport hotels, including Tru by Hilton São Paulo Congonhas Airport, expected to open in 2028, and Hilton Garden Inn São Paulo Congonhas, planned for 2029. Hilton Garden Inn Floripa Airport at Florianópolis-Hercílio Luz International Airport is also planned for 2029.
Conversions represent more than half of Hilton’s current hotel portfolio in Brazil. The first conversion was Hilton Garden Inn Belo Horizonte in 2016, followed by Hilton Rio de Janeiro Copacabana in 2017. Recent conversions include Yoo2 Rio de Janeiro, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, and Hilton Garden Inn Maceio. Hilton is evaluating opportunities to introduce the Spark by Hilton brand in Brazil.
Hilton’s developments with branded residential components include Qoya Residences Curitiba, Curio Collection by Hilton, expected to debut in 2028. Residents will have access to amenities at the adjacent Qoya Hotel Curitiba, Curio Collection by Hilton, including a spa, fitness center, restaurants, and co-working spaces.
Hilton’s expansion in Brazil is part of its broader strategy in the Caribbean and Latin America, where it operates more than 300 hotels and has a pipeline of more than 150 projects.
