IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

You can sense it is time for a change and you can also sense that it must be a big one. Too often in the past you have made half-hearted efforts to improve your existence but over the coming year only a real transformation will do.

ARIES (March 21 – April 20):

Be ruthless with yourself over the next few days. Get rid of all those things you no longer need - some of which you never needed - and start with a clean slate when the sun enters your sign on Friday. If not now, then when?

TAURUS (April 21 – May 21):

You will have to make an important decision today based on information you are not entirely sure can be trusted. Try to leave yourself a bit of wiggle room so you can change your mind later if the situation does not turn out well.

GEMINI (May 22 – June 21):

Someone in a position of authority has been watching you closely of late and may still be undecided if you are ready for a promotion. Impress them by giving 100 per cent between now and when the sun changes signs at the end of the week.

CANCER (June 22 – July 23):

You don’t care in the slightest if others approve of what you’ve been doing and you will care even less what they think of your efforts today. The approaching new moon will give you the confidence to go your own way and do your own thing.

LEO (July 24 – Aug. 23):

You want to break free of restrictions but the planets warn they are in place for your own good. You will get the chance to be more adventurous when the sun moves in your favour on Friday, but for now just accept that you can’t do it all.

VIRGO (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

You would be wise to steer clear of a dispute that has nothing to do with you. Yes, one side is clearly right and the other is clearly wrong but as the outcome won’t affect you either way this is a fight you need to avoid.

LIBRA (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

There is still time to do something special on the work front and the approaching new moon will encourage you to follow your instincts even when they go against what the so-called experts are telling you. Trust yourself before you trust other people.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

So many things have gone right for you in recent weeks that you may think your luck cannot possibly hold, but don’t be so sure. If you give the best of yourself creatively over the next few days the good times will keep on rolling.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

You must expect a certain amount of upheaval over the next few days but if you are smart you won’t let it get to you on a personal level. Other people’s problems don’t have to be your problems as well, so know when to keep your distance.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

A surprise compliment from a friend or colleague will boost your confidence today and the good feeling it gives you will last well into the week. Sometimes you are a bit too critical of your own efforts, but others can see your worth.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

You seem to be unsure what you want from life at the moment but the picture will become clearer over the next few days. Part of your problem may be that you have been too focused on material things, but that is about to change.

PISCES (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

Make good use of the sun’s last few days in your sign to push ahead with your plans while ignoring those who urge caution. The approaching new moon will make it easy for you to brush aside doubts and create something memorable.
