Marriott International Signs Nine New Hotels in Greece, Adding Nearly 1,000 Rooms

In Brief: Marriott International has announced nine deal signings in Greece, totaling nearly 1,000 rooms and including the introduction of the Residence Inn by Marriott and Le Méridien brands to the country.

Marriott International has signed agreements for nine projects in Greece, representing nearly 1,000 rooms. The signings include the debut of the Residence Inn by Marriott and Le Méridien brands in Greece. Marriott currently operates 47 properties and over 6,000 rooms across 10 brands and 12 markets in the country.

The new agreements feature the 57-room Residence Inn by Marriott Athens, expected to open in the city center, and the 229-room Le Méridien Sissi Crete, scheduled to open in 2027 on the Cretan coast. The 314-room Milatos Marriott Resort Crete is expected to open in 2028 on Crete’s northern coast.

The Tribute Portfolio brand is set to expand with the 40-room The Tenant, Heraklion Crete, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, slated to open in 2026. In Paros, the Orosea, Paros, Autograph Collection is expected to open in 2026 with 40 rooms.

Marriott signed an agreement for Hymnos, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Zakynthos, a 94-room resort on Bouka Beach, scheduled to open in 2026.

In 2025, Marriott signed and opened two properties: the 20-room Tella Thera, a Member of Design Hotels, and the 20-room Stamna Sifnos, a Member of Design Hotels. The company also signed the 41-key Eréma, a Member of Design Hotels in Milos, which is expected to open this year.

Marriott’s current portfolio in Greece includes The Luxury Collection, W Hotels, JW Marriott, Marriott Hotels, Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, Westin Hotels & Resorts, Tribute Portfolio, Autograph Collection, Design Hotels, and Moxy Hotels, operating across luxury, premium, and select service segments.
