This Is Officially The World’s Cleanest Airport For 2026, Canada Reviews

After spending a couple of hours using a cramped and uncomfortable aeroplane loo, there are few things that come as more of a relief that being greeted with a squeaky clean airport bathroom. And to shed light on where you might find these, international air transport rating organisation Skytrax is back with its annual World Airport Awards, which are based on customer satisfaction surveys. 

The results were divided into two categories: one covers all airports globally, and the other covers airports with 30 million passengers per year or less. So, which are the world’s cleanest aviation hubs?

In a not-so-surprising revelation, the cleanest airport in the world is (once again) Tokyo Haneda. For the past 10 years, Haneda has consistently defended its first place spot for cleanliness with spotless seating and facilities, advanced cleaning technology and helpful staff. Haneda is also consistently ranked as one of the best overall airport in the world, and took third place this year. 

Seoul Incheon made a smooth landing into second place for both the cleanest and the best overall airport this year, while Singapore Changi and all its green glory ranked third cleanest, but managed to keep its first place spot for its second year in a row (and 15th year overall) as the best airport in the world. 

Japan also swept up the first three spots in the small airport category. New Chitose in Hokkaido ranked first place, followed by Centrair Nagoya in Ise Bay and Fukuoka airport on Kyushu Island.
