Unleash your inner builder at this Lego convention in Edmonton

30 April 20263 Mins Read

Northern Bricks is Edmonton’s premier Lego convention, and it’s blasting into the city this month.

Whether you’re a Lego enthusiast or a casual builder, this convention will have you dive headfirst into anything and everything brick and block. Taking over the Alberta Aviation Museum on May 23 and 24, this convention will be complete with unique displays, Lego vendors, and opportunities to build yourself.

If you’re ready to see the masterpieces people have built, you shouldn’t hesitate to come on down. Third time is the charm, am I right?

What to expect

When you enter the museum, you’ll be greeted by the sight of many, many incredible Lego builds. The convention recommends allotting two to three hours to scan the festival. This gives you ample time to talk with the renowned builders who’ve come to the convention. Not to mention, it’ll give you enough time to take in all the builds displayed.

While you’re looking at the builds, you can also grab a bite from one of the food trucks, which will be on site that weekend.

There’s also this thing called sensory hour, which lasts from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. This is a quiet time in the convention as well as a reduced capacity time, which will allow for an easier time for those who have trouble with the noise and crowds. Not only that, but the lights are dimmed and flashing lights are disabled.

As for tickets, they begin at $15 per adult for an individual day. Or, it’s $10 for teens between 13 and 17 and those over 65, or $5 for children aged three to 12. Children under three get in for free. You can either buy them online or at the door, no problem either way!

If you even consider yourself close to a Lego fan, you’d be missing out if you didn’t attend. Trust me, the things you’ll see here are like nothing else. Do yourself a favour, buy the ticket, folks.

When: Saturday, May 24, 2026, and Sunday, May 25, 2026
Time: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday
Where: Alberta Aviation Museum — 11410 Kingsway NW, Edmonton, Alta.
Cost: $15+
