How to get credits fast in Forza Horizon 6

15 May 20265 Mins Read

Knowing how to get credits fast in Forza Horizon 6 is helpful if you want to buy every car and house you can find because boy, are there a lot of them. While the game starts off by giving you a considerable number of credits, you’re not really rich until you can drop millions on a new car without even thinking about it.

So these are our top tips on how to earn more credits as quickly as possible in Forza Horizon 6.

Increase the difficulty

While it’s a lovely feeling to absolutely gas all of your competitors in races, you’ll earn more credits if you’re competing at your absolute limit. The higher your difficulty, the higher your percentage bonus of credits earned.

You need to be realistic because sticking the drivatar difficulty on unbeatable, then losing every race isn’t going to earn you much, but if you’re comfortably winning every race on average, why not go up to above average or highly skilled? You should also toggle some of the other assists; turning off anti-lock braking and driving in manual provide 15% extra credits apiece, while no traction and stability control give 10% each.

Sell cars you’re not using

You’ll receive a lot of cars in Forza Horizon 6. So many that you will most likely never drive a majority of them. If you’re not looking to collect every single car, we recommend selling them.

You don’t sell them to the game, but you can put them up for sale to other players via the auction house. If your car is highly sought after, you can earn some serious moolah.

Tick off Discover Japan journal challenges

The collection journal is a brand-new progression track for the series, and while you’ll tick off many of its objectives by simply exploring the world and completing races, it’s worth focusing on some challenges specifically to earn credits as fast as possible.

Alongside the Horizon Festival challenges, which are focused on racing and competing, the Discover Japan challenges are all about exploration. And if you inspect each category, in the top-right-hand corner, you can sift through the various milestones. Reaching lots of these will grant you credits, such as the 80,000 for earning 750 Discover Japan points. Tick these off and you’ll accumulate funds incredibly quickly.

Smash through mascots

Each region of Japan has a different mascot, and their locations are highlighted on the map with purple faces. For every one you smash through, you can earn 5,000 credits. With 200 to find in total, that’s a whopping one million credits available just for finding them all. It’s a no-brainer, really.

Design a popular livery

Visit one of your estates and navigate to the “cars” option in the menu. Choose “Designs & Paints” and you can start designing your own livery for any of your cars. If you fancy yourself as an artistic talent, spend some time creating cool aesthetics for your vehicles.

As people download them, you’ll earn credits. A single download is worth 25 credits, another player actually using the livery is worth 40, and someone liking the livery will grant a whopping 500 credits. If your design goes “viral,” you can quickly earn loads of credits.

On a similar note, this also works for estates and garages, but since these cost so much to kit out with props, chances are you’ll spend more than you’ll earn.

Be frugal

This tip is less about earning money and more about saving it. No, you don’t need to buy every car you see for sale on the side of the road. No, you don’t need to spend money upgrading your car to a new class; just use one of your other cars that is already in that class instead. And you definitely don’t need to buy the horn that sounds like Ride of the Valkyries.

Save your credits for the things that matter, such as your favorite cars or the estate you’ve found that you can spend time doing up. Or the horn that sounds like a funeral march, on the other hand…

Use your Car Mastery skill points on special cars

As you perform skills like drifting or nearly missing another car, you’ll earn Car Mastery skill points. These can be used to gain perks when driving a specific car. However, some cars, like treasure cars, barn finds, and Forza Edition cars, have perks that allow you to gain credits instantly. Depending on the car, you can earn 150,000 CR or even 250,000 CR, but it will cost a lot of skill points. Though if you don’t care for any of your car’s perks, this is an easy way to rack up some money.
