Canada is known for a lot of things – friendly people, beautiful landscapes, maple syrup, and of course, Drake. The rapper is Spotify’s top-streamed rapper with nearly 90 million monthly listeners, so when news dropped that he was releasing a fresh album, you can imagine how excited everyone was when May 15 came, and fans were surprised with three albums.

While it was only advertised that Drake would be releasing one new album, ICEMAN, we woke up to ICEMAN, HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR – a total of 43 songs combined.
People definitely have some opinions, including the best and worst songs on the albums. Here’s what fans are saying.
How do Drake’s fans feel about his new albums?
As expected, Drake’s massive following of fans took to Reddit to share their thoughts, and this three-album drop seems to be a hit.
The “Drizzy” subreddit sounded off on the best ICEMAN tracks, with the top comments including:
- “I…cannot stop…listening to Janice STFU.”
- “This is legit his best album ever. I’m speechless.”
- “Plot Twist is nasttyyyyyyyy.”
- “Dust is a banger.”
- “My god, Make Them Pay is just insane.”

When it comes to MAID OF HONOUR, it sounds like the album has a much different vibe than ICEMAN, but received just as much praise on Reddit:
- “I need to hear this album in a club asap this weekend. This album is so fun. Very different than ICEMAN.”
- “Road Trips, Amazing Shape [and] Stuck are my top 3 so far.”
- “As someone else said, no skips on this one dawg.”
- “Cheetah Print is my favorite on this album. This is straight club music.”
While HABIBTI seems to be the least popular among fans, it is still receiving high praise, with fans writing on Reddit:
- “White Bone is a spiritual experience.”
- “Classic, WNBA, Whitebone and Fortworth are absolute slappers off of the first listen. Others are great too, no real misses.”
- “Yall sleeping on habibti i am telling you.”
A marketing campaign like no other
Even if you aren’t a Drake fan, you probably saw one of the many marketing tactics the rapper used to promote the albums dropping.
In Toronto, the CN Tower looked “iced out” on Thursday, May 14, appearing as if it was covered in ice all evening.

There was also the giant ice block that appeared in downtown Toronto and the massive explosion at Downsview Park in Toronto (seemingly part of the filming for one of the track’s music videos).
Drake, you definitely got everyone’s attention, and if you’re asking me, the best song between the three albums is What Did I Miss?
If you’re looking to go down memory lane, you can pick up some exclusive merch from Drake’s ‘warehouse’ collection available on Amazon, like the Gimme a Hugg Long Sleeve T-Shirt and the Some Sexy Songs 4 U Snow Globe.
Of course, there’s always just the music itself, too. Find physical albums like Scorpion, Take Care, and Views online now.
