T&T Supermarket, Canada’s largest Asian grocery chain, is gearing up to open its latest and greatest Ontario location in a Toronto mall.
Keep dreaming, frequenters of the Eaton Centre and Don Mills, because Etobicoke’s Sherway Gardens will be the latest spot in the city that the Vancouver-born Asian grocery retailer will call home.
Set to open in summer 2027, the new location will take over 40,000 sq. ft. of retail space on the lower level of the mall, offering shoppers a chance to experience T&T’s signature “grocerant” (that’s grocery-restaurant, to you) experience.
As always, the store will be packed to the rafters with fresh fruit and vegetables, live seafood, meats and an extensive selection of Asian snacks, alongside the ever-popular hot food bar and other ready-to-eat options in the form of fresh sushi, bakery items and prepared meals.
The Sherway location will also feature a dedicated beauty section with an impressive lineup of K-beauty and skincare products.
The new location at Sherway Gardens will mark T&T Supermarket’s 17th in Ontario, fourth in Toronto and, crucially, the chain’s first foray into Etobicoke.
“I’ve been getting requests from customers to bring T&T to Etobicoke for a while,” says T&T Supermarket CEO Tina Lee.
“This location checks all the boxes — it’s in the former Pusateri’s space, has covered parking, and is conveniently located just off Highway 427 and the Gardiner. It’s a wonderful location that we expect to draw customers from a huge radius.”
It’ll take about a year to get the location up and running, but not to fear, T&T also has a new location slated to open at RioCan Empress in North York this fall, joining its preexisting Toronto locations on College St., Edward St., and at Fairview Mall.
