Decades after stepping out of the prime-time spotlight, one of the decade’s biggest heartthrobs just dropped a cryptic Instagram message that has fans convinced a massive TV comeback is officially in the works.
Happy Days star Scott Baio has fans guessing after dropping a social media teaser. Decades after capturing hearts as Chachi Arcola on the ABC series, the actor’s mysterious new post has rumors swirling that a small-screen comeback is officially in the works.
The actor sparked instant curiosity on July 20 by sharing a faceless photo with his back to the camera. Clad in a T-shirt from the iconic travel store Buc-ee’s, the mysterious pose only fueled fans’ theories about his next move.
He shared the following information in the caption. “I’m finally back home!” He added, “Coming Soon.”

Baio concluded his post with the hashtags Frisco King, Taylor Sheridan, Samuel L. Jackson, Texas, and Blessed. The actor, director, and producer did not share any further information about his connection to the Paramount+ series. However, fans had thoughts.
“You in a new show?!” asked one follower. A second fan questioned, “What??? You are on a Taylor Sheridan series?”
A third Instagram user posted, “Way cool! How exciting.” A fourth fan concluded, “When can you discuss this Samuel L. Jackson and Taylor Sheridan exploit?”
While Baio did not share any further details about his connection to Frisco King, the Fort Worth Report did confirm that Sheridan’s series was filming in Texas, the location of Baio’s hashtag. Filming took place at Wedgmont Circle North throughout July 2026. Additionally, the outlet reported that filming for the series has been underway since March at several North Texas locations.
In July 2026, Deadline reported that Samuel L. Jackson, whom the actor tagged in his social media post, will star in the Tulsa King spinoff as Russell Lee Washington Jr. Tulsa King debuted in November 2022, starring Sylvester Stallone.
Deadline reports Frisco King is set in Frisco, Texas. Sheridan is set to write all eight of Season One’s episodes.
In an April 16 Facebook post, Stallone and Jackson shared details of the new series. Stallone said in a video clip, “Sam, we’re here to kick off your new show, which is what?”
Jackson replied, “Frisco King. Am I a king yet? I’m working on it.”
The Rocky legend continued, “We just did our first scene together, and it was fantastic. It’s going to be a stellar show. He’s [Jackson] spectacular in this, don’t miss it.”
Frisco King is targeted for a 2027 debut, but a specific release date remains under wraps, as does Scott Baio’s role in the series.
