This new Toronto dessert spot elevates CNE-style mini donuts with gourmet toppings and soft serve, Canada Reviews

With Dang Good Donuts, Rajjot Arora is on a mission: to serve really good, really fresh donuts to Torontonians. With a combination of classics like cinnamon sugar, birthday cake and strawberry cheesecake, Dang Good Donuts will also offer rotating monthly and limited-time flavours.

“My personal favourite is the cinnamon sugar,” Arora says. “It’s simple, nostalgic, and when it’s served hot a few minutes after frying, it’s hard to beat. Another favourite is the Dubai Chocolate flavour, inspired by the viral dessert and topped with rich chocolate sauce and crispy pistachio kataifi for a decadent twist.”

To compliment the flavours of the sweet treats, Dang Good Donuts boasts a drink program that’s intentionally simple and refreshing.

“We serve handcrafted fruit refreshers made with real fruit flavours that are designed to balance the warmth and sweetness of fresh donuts. Alongside those, we offer premium soft serve and a curated selection of cold beverages,” Arora says. “As the brand grows, we’ll continue introducing seasonal drinks and limited-time flavours while keeping the menu approachable and focused.”

The design echoes the playfulness of the menu, with a bright, playful and modern interior bursting with soft pastel colours and clean lines. The layout also includes an open kitchen, which allows guests to see their donuts being made fresh in real time.

Reimagining classics but playing on nostalgia is part of what sets Dang Good Donuts apart, Arora says.

“Most people associate mini donuts with simple cinnamon sugar at fairs and festivals. We wanted to take that nostalgic experience and elevate it with chef-inspired flavours that rotate every month, giving customers something new to discover with every visit,” the founder says. “We wanted to bring back the simple joy of eating a hot, freshly made donut the way it was meant to be enjoyed: crisp on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside, finished right before it reaches your hands.”
