Heated Rivalry stars Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams were spotted in Toronto last week ahead of season two filming, and while fans were having a complete meltdown over the two strolling side-by-side down Yonge Street (and even obsessing over Williams’ plaid Canadian Tire tote bag), the team behind the hit series has one small request (or, uh, perhaps friendly warning) for the Loons: please give the cast and crew some room to work.
“To our incredible fans and everyone who’s been sharing in the excitement for the show:
Your support, enthusiasm, and kindness have meant the world to us. As we gear up for more Heated Rivalry, please help us in making it the best it can be.
“If you happen to come across one of our filming locations, please give our cast and crew the space they need to do what they do best,” the series’ official Instagram account shared on Tuesday, promising that “it’ll be worth the wait!”
The reminder comes after footage surfaced of Williams confronting three autograph sellers in Paris last month, accusing them of being “really creepy” and following him around (he even threatened to burn one of the unsigned photographs they were trying to hawk).
And while Toronto fans have been respectful of the stars (with the most “controversy” being a couple of excited squeals from behind a camera or two), there have been tons of photos of the pair simply walking around Toronto circulating online lately, which might have something to do with the friendly warning.
Fans, thankfully, seem to agree with the request. One Insta user commented, “Number one rule of being a fan: be respectful.”
“Sad that this even needs saying!!!” another added.
“The fact that they have to put up this statement means people are already acting weird,” another fan wrote, adding, “pls stop and let them do their job.”
According to Toronto Filming, production on the second season is scheduled to begin on Aug. 10 and continue until Dec. 2, with filming primarily based at soundstages in Toronto and additional on-location shoots taking place in Montreal and Ottawa.
