Don’t miss a minute of summer, because the time is flying by. From concerts to art festivals to watching the upcoming Perseid meteor shower, here are 10 of the best things to do in Vancouver this week (Aug. 10-14).

Hosted by Vancouver’s Vines Art Society, this annual festival celebrates artists who are working towards land, water, and relational justice through their works. The 2026 iteration is all about transformation, exploring what is becoming visible that society is told not to look at. If you’re looking to catch a movie at Stanley Park, Evo Summer Cinema on Tuesdays is the event to mark down. This week, Crazy Rich Asians is screening at the Ceperley Park Playground on the massive, 40-foot screen.

You can take a tour of the summer night sky as Vancouver prepares for one of the most spectacular celestial events of the year: the upcoming Perseid meteor shower. The Polygon has brought back its popular outdoor movie nights this summer, and its next movie night is coming up this week on Thursday, Aug. 13.
