Home Depot Just Dropped the Halloween News Fans Have Been Waiting For

17 August 20263 Mins Read

Home Depot just conjured up the frighteningly good news Halloween fans have been dying to hear—the decor is finally coming to stores!

After Parade exclusively previewed the 28 new scares coming this season, which were available online and on the Home Depot app starting on Thursday, July 16, 2026, we’re thrilled to reveal that they will be available for in-store shopping nationwide.

Starting the week of Aug. 17—yes, this week !—The Home Depot’s 2026 Halloween collection will officially roll out at a Home Depot location near you.

“As the ultimate Halloween destination, this year’s lineup is bringing major innovation straight to the aisles,” the release notes.

The collection boasts high-tech haunts that include hyper-realistic features like LCD eyes, upgraded audio, and advanced motion sensor technology across all the “giants,” which naturally include the iconic and viral 12 FT Skelly.

There are also 11 new originals inspired by new monsters, like the 8 FT Perilous Plant Monster, along with pop-culture nostalgia scares, like the 5 FT Gremlins.

There’s truly something for everyone, with varying levels of spookiness.

When Home Depot gave a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes Halloween shoot earlier this month, shoppers had only one demand: “Great now tell your managers to start putting it on the floor. Especially the stuff you can’t buy online. 👏”

And finally, the time has come.

While getting a jumpstart on your Halloween shopping online is fun, nothing beats the joy of actually going to experience the decorations come to life at the store.

As the release noted, “seeing these tech innovations in person is part of the magic.”

And speaking from every in-store experience I’ve ever had, the Home Depot employees are thrilled to show off the Halloween displays, especially when there are kiddos who don’t seem too confident in approaching Skelly and friends all by themselves.

When you enter the magical realm of Home Depot’s haunted aisles, you can interact with all the animatronics to make an in-person decision on which one should go home with you to scare up the frights in your neighborhood.

“Nobody does Halloween better than the @homedepot!” one customer noted—and Home Depot knows it all too well.

“Our customers wait all year to see Halloween arrive in stores, and we’re excited to start bringing this year’s collection to communities across the country,” Aubrey Horowitz, Merchant, Decorative Holiday at The Home Depot, said.

“From our iconic giant animatronics – all available in stores for under $300 – to smaller pieces that can transform a porch, yard or living room, this year’s assortment gives Halloween fans even more ways to bring their biggest ideas to life at an incredible value.”

Not only will the collection give you goosebumps, so will the prices (in a good way), as one shopper pointed out that the “prices are very reasonable” compared to the competitors.
