Canada’s monthly fall forecast says this is when it’ll start snowing in each province

The national fall forecast called for warmer-than-average temperatures in most of the country and cooler temperatures in some places.

But the month-by-month breakdowns revealed when Canada’s weather will get snowy during the season.

These forecasts in the Canadian edition of the Old Farmer’s Almanac not only provide monthly overviews but also what weather conditions you can expect each week.

That includes when the first snow of the season is expected in each province, along with other chances for autumunal snow.

So, here’s what you need to know about snow during the fall season.

BC

According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, it will start snowing in southern B.C. during November.

From November 1 to November 3, rain and snow are forecast in northern parts of the region. Between November 4 and November 19, there will be rain and snow showers in the north.

Then, from November 23 to November 30, periods of rain and snow are forecast inland.

Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba

The first snow of the season in southern parts of the Prairies is forecast during October.

From October 8 to October 20, there will be a few rain and snow showers and chilly across the region.

Then, according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, rain showers will turn into snow showers as temperatures get colder between November 23 and November 30.

Ontario

Southern Ontario’s weather is forecast to be snowy starting in October, according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac.

From October 15 to October 21, there will be rain and snow showers and chilly temperatures in western parts of the province.

Between November 18 and November 22, it will be snowy and cool in Ontario. Then, flurries and colder temperatures are forecast from November 27 to November 30.

Quebec

In southern parts of Quebec, snow is forecast in October and November, according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac.

From October 11 to October 17, there will be rain and snow showers, along with chilly temperatures.

Between November 1 and November 5, you can expect rain and snow showers. There will be periods of snow and rain in southern Quebec from November 11 to November 16.

Then, between November 21 and November 23, snow and rain are forecast. The end of the month will be sunny before periods of rain and snow move in from November 24 to November 30.

New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI and Newfoundland

According to the Old Farmer’s Almanac, the Atlantic provinces won’t get snow until the end of November.

From November 21 to November 26, rain and snow are forecast in the region, along with chilly temperatures.
