Don’t let the mixed forecast keep you down, Vancouver. There are tons of live music opportunities, art shows, and streetside festivities to uncover over the next few days. From the Vancouver Fringe Festival to a one-day Mexican fiesta, here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this weekend (Sept. 11-13).

Vancouver’s beloved annual Fringe Fest is officially back, with over 80 local shows to discover ranging from live theatre to dance, drag, and stand-up. If you ever catch yourself wondering what to do or see between Sept. 10 and 20, consider catching a show and supporting the diverse local arts scene we have in the city!

When: Thursday, Sept. 10 to Sept. 20, 2026

Cost: $35 for Fringe+ tickets, which get you access to half-priced shows

Country artist Cody Johnson is bringing his latest tour to Vancouver’s Rogers Arena this Friday, Sept. 11.

When: Friday, Sept. 11, 2026

Where: 800 Griffiths Way 
Cost: $121.70

This is your last chance to check out the Shipyards Night Market this year, AKA the perfect spot to hit up for some patio brews, live music, and food truck eats.

Where: The Shipyards, North Vancouver

Iconic rock band Weezer is bringing their new tour to Vancouver this weekend, and fans of the genre won’t want to miss it.

When: Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026

Where: 800 Griffiths Way

The zipline is back, the less-than-$10 happy hour items are back, and tons of exciting new attractions await at this year’s Richmond Night Market. Make sure to check it out before it closes!

When: Operates Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until Sept. 20, 2026
Time: 7 p.m. to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and on Sunday, Sept. 6, until 11 p.m. on Sept. 7

Car Free Days are back, and the next one takes over Main Street on Sunday, Sept. 13, between East 10th and King Edward Avenues. Expect cool vendor pop-ups, delicious food, and live music all afternoon long.

Where: Main Street from East 10th Avenue to King Edward Avenue
Cost: Free admission

Role Model first made waves with his 2022 debut album, Rx, and has been on the rise ever since. His recently released Chuck Timely & The Hourglass album was highly anticipated, and it forms the basis of his new tour.

When: Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026
Time: 7:30 p.m.
Where: 2901 East Hastings St. 
Cost: $69.50+

This vibrant day of food and festivities celebrates Mexico’s independence, taking place on Sunday, Sept. 13 from noon to 7 p.m. There will be authentic Mexican bites, live music, and cultural performances to check out.

When: Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026
Time: Noon to 7 p.m.
Where: Outside of the Vancouver Art Gallery (750 Hornby St.) and Robson Square
Cost: Free admission

Hot Off the Press is a celebration of all forms of printmaking, showcasing everything from screen printing to linocuts to giclees, all by talented local artists. The show is on display until Sept. 26 and is curated by Natasha Redwood-Scribe.

The Vancouver Maritime Museum still has immersive sailing experiences that explore Vancouver’s fascinating maritime past and present, and the views alone are well worth it.

When: Select Thursdays and Sundays in June, July, August, and September, starting June 11, 2026
Time: 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., or 2 to 5 p.m.
Where: The yacht departs from Vancouver Maritime Museum — 1905 Ogden Ave.
