The World’s Best Fine-Dining Restaurants To Book In 2026, According to Tripadvisor, Canada Reviews

15 September 20263 Mins Read

Feeling like you need a treat and deserve a blowout meal? Here’s a little inspiration. Tripadvisor has just released its 2026 Travellers’ Choice Awards for Best of the Best Restaurants, ranking the world’s finest fine-dining establishments based on a year’s worth of first-hand reviews from millions of diners. Winners rank among the top one percent of all listings on the entire platform, so these aren’t just good restaurants; they’re among the very best on Earth (at least according to people who leave Tripadvisor reviews).

Taking the top spot for the second year running is Fogón Asado in Buenos Aires, an intimate steakhouse that flips a traditional asado on its head. If you’re not exactly sure what an asado is and looking to try it for the first time, you’re in for a treat. It’s a wood-fired feast of huge cuts of meat. Fogón Asado has you seated around a communal bar surrounding the open-fire grill, where an eight-course tasting menu is cooked right in front of guests. You can work your way through provoleta, ribeye and tira de asado, paired with an impressive Argentine wine list.

Slotting firmly into second place is KOMA Singapore, praised for its modern take on Japanese cuisine. You are welcomed by a long tunnel of orange torii gates, ushering you into a dining room with its own traditional red footbridge and colossal 2.5 metre bell hanging overhead. And the menu is just as enticing. Crowd favourites include their signature crispy salmon pillows stuffed with smoked avocado, miso-marinated black cod and slabs of snow-aged Niigata Wagyu cooked hobayaki-style over a magnolia leaf.

Edinburgh’s The Witchery stands proudly at fourth on the list as the UK’s sole entry. The gothic, candlelit institution is perched on Edinburgh’s Royal Mile and is the top-rated restaurant in the whole of Europe. Beyond the theatrical dining rooms, it’s worth knowing that The Witchery is a hotel in its own right too. With nine opulently gothic suites upstairs, it’s one of the most unique places to stay the night in the city, according to ’s review of The Witchery, which recommends booking a suite overlooking the Royal Mile.
