Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals held its 2026 Annual Convention Sept. 22-24 at Peppermill Resort, Spa & Casino in Reno, Nevada. The event was the 74th edition of the association’s education and membership conference.
The HFTP Annual Convention Advisory Council developed the education program. American Ninja Warrior Alex Weber delivered the opening keynote, “The Unstoppable You,” sharing life experiences and insights on overcoming adversity. The following morning’s general session featured practical ethics speaker Danny Goldberg, who addressed how ethics programs can adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
Education sessions were held over three days and covered technology, communication, ethics, finance, operations, marketing, strategic planning and fraud prevention. Michele Kline delivered the closing keynote, using neuroscience and storytelling to share tools and insights on cultures of trust and communication within organizations.
Attendees also participated in the experiential team-building session, “Get the Wheels Turning,” during which they built 10 children’s bicycles. The bicycles were donated to The Children’s Cabinet, a Reno nonprofit that provides programs and services at no cost to youth and their families. HFTP Helps donated $5,000 to The Children’s Cabinet.
The convention included networking events and designated networking hours with more than two dozen tabletop exhibitors. The companies presented industry solutions related to efficiency, workflows and operations.
HFTP recognized members, chapters and hospitality professionals during the convention.
