10 things to do in Toronto this week (Sept. 28 – Oct. 2)

It’s time to embrace all the fall activities because, believe it or not, summer has come to an end. Nonetheless, it’s a thrilling week in the city, and there are tons of things to do in Toronto. That means we’re squeezing in a few more rounds of outdoor adventures, patio outings with friends, and wild nights out – before it gets way too cold.

Make your way to the Bata Show Museum for an intimate and insightful conversation with Ojibwe Kwe author, educator, and Residential School survivor, Karen Chaboyer. Honouring the experiences of Residential School survivors, the museum will commemorate Orange Shirt Day and National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Tea and bannock will be provided by Candace’s Catering, according to the museum.

Phoebe Bridgers is bringing The Lost Tour to Toronto this Friday, and tickets are pretty much sold out – except for the verified resale option via Ticketmaster. Will you be going this week?

Dubbed Public Pier, this new project transforms Marina Quay West (beside Toronto Music Garden and opposite the Canada Malting Silohs) into a day-to-night destination with public programming that includes food markets, DJs and even line dancing.

The fall season is slowly starting to creep in, Toronto. That means crisp morning air, hues of orange and red, and lots — and I mean LOTS — of pumpkins. Halloween Nights of Lights and Pumpkinville returns this month and is set to illuminate the night sky with over 1.5 million dazzling lights, midway rides, seasonal eats, and more than 15,000 real pumpkins.

Halloween Haunt is back at Canada’s Wonderland with unforgettable thrills like The Conjuring: Beyond Fear immersive attraction and horrifying mazes. “Face your fears in terrifying scare zones and haunted mazes, encounter hundreds of monsters, enjoy thrilling night rides and sinister live shows,” shares CW.

All 10 of the Toronto History Museums have free admission at all times.

According to the City of Toronto, this is “to provide everyone an opportunity to fully participate in cultural heritage and spaces.”
