Hale Hōkūala Kauaʻi, Curio Collection by Hilton, opened Sept. 30, 2026, as the brand’s first Hawaiʻi property.
Hale Hōkūala Kauaʻi, Curio Collection by Hilton, is within the Hōkūala Resort community on Kauaʻi. The 210-room resort includes 23 suites and overlooks Nāwiliwili Bay and neighboring Kalapakī Beach.
The property is near Līhuʻe Airport and has views of the Pacific Ocean, Hāʻupu Mountain and the Ocean Course at Hōkūala. Guest rooms include floor-to-ceiling windows and private lānai. Hart Howerton and AHL, formerly Architects Hawaii Limited, designed the resort, with interiors by Looney & Associates.
The resort’s cultural immersion program, E Ala Ka Pilina, or “The Awakening of Connection,” includes on-property activities, off-property excursions and culinary storytelling. The program was developed with local practitioners, educators, historians, artisans, nonprofits and community organizations.
The Kauaʻi Museum will be the inaugural partner in a series focused on the island’s history and creative expression within the broader Hawaiian story. Future programming will include agriculture, lei making, traditional aquaculture, land stewardship, hula and Hawaiian storytelling.
Figueira, the resort’s signature restaurant, overlooks the 18th hole of the Ocean Course at Hōkūala and serves Portuguese-Hawaiian food. Executive Chef Hans Lentz and Director of Food & Beverage Romina Migliorini lead the restaurant. Menu items include Pineapple French Toast with Kuleana Rum caramel, Kauaʻi prawns, Portuguese Fisherman’s Stew, bacalhau no forno, pastel de nata and malasadas. Beverage offerings include Hawaiian-grown coffee, local craft beer, cocktails and wines from Portugal and other regions.
The Wiliwili at Hale Hōkūala, a poolside venue, serves poke bowls, plate lunch specials, shave ice, pūpū, tropical cocktails, nonalcoholic drinks, juices and smoothies made with local ingredients. StiR Creative Collective developed both food and beverage concepts.
On-site facilities include a pool and fitness center. Guests also have access to a full-service spa, wellness programming, tennis and pickleball courts in the wider Hōkūala resort community. Outdoor offerings include preferred tee times at the Jack Nicklaus Signature Ocean Course at Hōkūala, more than five miles of trails, bicycles, beach amenities and open green spaces.
The Farm at Hōkūala includes canoe plants, native crops and agricultural traditions. The resort is within reach of Hanalei Bay, the North Shore, Waimea Canyon and Kōkeʻe State Park.
Hale Hōkūala has more than 14,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space for meetings, weddings, celebrations and group gatherings.
