If you’re looking for plans this weekend, a massive monochrome green hotel room dedicated to all things matcha is popping up — and literally everything inside is free.
Oatly is bringing its new ready-to-drink Oat Drink Matcha to Toronto with an immersive activation at 45 Ossington Ave. The Oatly Matcha-tality Suite, free-to-attend and open to the public on Saturday, Sept. 12 and Sunday, Sept. 13, is transforming the space into a green-dipped hotel room complete with complimentary drinks, manicures, room-service-style bites, fun surprises and an ensuite DJ.
Instead of a standard product sampling booth, the space has been built out as an all-green, hyper-stylized hotel suite. Expect full VIP treatment from the moment you walk through the doors, complete with free room service (with a twist) and an “unreal Niagara Falls view” somehow brought directly to Ossington.
Once you check in, the suite is serving pure hotel-inspired decadence. Complimentary matcha lattes made with Oatly’s new oat matcha drink arrive straight from the minibar, while a DJ keeps the room moving. You can also get a free matcha-inspired manicure, grab some room-service-style bites designed to pair with the drinks, and take photos around the monochrome green space to remember the whole thing.
If you can’t make it to Ossington this weekend, you can still get the same matcha moment at home. Oatly’s new ready-to-drink Matcha is creamy with a touch of sweetness and vanilla, and it’s shelf-stable, so you can stash a carton in the pantry until the craving hits. Just shake, pour over ice and you’re good to go.
The Oatly Matcha-tality Suite is open Sept. 12 and 13 from 2 to 8 p.m. each day at 45 Ossington Ave. Entry is free, so throw on something green and make a weekend stop of it.
