A new spot for cowboy boots and western fashion just opened near Calgary

24 April 20262 Mins Read

Let’s be honest, half of the prep for the Calgary Stampede is just figuring out your outfit. Before you know it, everyone is out looking for the perfect pair of cowboy boots that somehow work for both the rodeo and the patio after. Luckily, a new store near Calgary opened for exactly that.

Stampede Boot and Clothing Company has officially opened its new location in Okotoks, hosting a grand opening celebration on Saturday, April 25, offering everything from boots and hats to workwear and more, just in time for the rodeo season.

About the grand opening celebration

In-store specials will run all day during the grand opening, with sales across the store, giving you the perfect chance to snag some Stampede pieces at an affordable price.

On top of that, customers will be able to enter a prize draw worth more than $5,000, with prizes including men’s and women’s Ariat boots, a Voss full-face motorcycle helmet, a Dizzon Flannel Legend motorcycle vest, and more. The draw will take place at 4 p.m., with entry limited to one ballot per customer.

The story behind Stampede Boot and Clothing Company

According to Stampede Boot and Clothing Company, the business was founded in 1977 and has remained family-owned and operated ever since. Built by three generations of master boot and shoemakers, it started as a small shoemaker before becoming one of Calgary’s most well-known western wear retailers, including its long-standing location north of Chinook Centre on Macleod Trail.

The opening of the Okotoks location is a pretty big step for the brand, allowing it to expand its reach in western wear beyond Calgary and into surrounding communities. And the timing is perfect, considering Stampede season is coming up fast, and outfit planning has already started.

When: Open Monday to Friday
Time: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Where: 87 Elizabeth St., Calgary, Alta.
Cost: Free
