A$AP Rocky will play the Calgary Stampede and the news is sending us

A contender for hip hop’s most influential rapper is coming to Calgary for one day only, as A$AP Rocky is set to bring his live show to the Scotiabank Saddledome. The show, scheduled for Saturday, July 4, 2026, may be the biggest act in Calgary Stampede history.

The Stampede shared the news via a press release on Jan. 20, and it’s seriously sending us into the next orbit.

Known for his genre-defying sound, bold fashion influence, and dynamic stage presence, A$AP Rocky is undoubtedly one of the most impactful artists in music today. Since emerging in 2011, he has amassed more than 25.7 billion global streams and 8.8 billion YouTube views, solidifying his place as a cultural powerhouse.

He’s also a devoted husband and has spoken extensively about his loving relationship with fellow superstar Rihanna, as well as life as a father, as they raise their three children together.

We can’t wait to welcome rap music’s biggest family man to Calgary in 2026! Here’s everything we know about the show so far.

Calgary to welcome a global icon

With recent groundbreaking on a new Culture + Entertainment District in Calgary, the momentum in our city has been undeniable. Now, Calgary is set to play host to one of rap music’s biggest global superstars in 2026.

Rocky’s acclaimed discography includes two #1 Billboard 200 albums, LONG.LIVE.A$AP and AT.LONG.LAST.A$AP, as well as his third studio album TESTING, which has surpassed one billion streams worldwide. His catalogue features chart-topping hits and fan favourites, including “Praise the Lord (Da Shine),” “Babushka Boi,” “RIOT (Rowdy Pipe’n),” and more recent releases, “Highjack” and “Ruby Rosary,” the latter of which features J. Cole.

More than a musician

In addition to his musical achievements, Rocky has established himself as a leading creative force across fashion, film and design. In 2025, he co-chaired the Met Gala, starred in two A24 films, and continues to serve as creative director for both Ray-Ban and Puma through his creative agency, AWGE.

He’s also spoken extensively about his alignment with Rihanna as both a father and creative collaborator.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 10 a.m. MT. All ticket purchases include admission to the Calgary Stampede on the day of the concert, allowing fans to experience a full day of Stampede thrills before and after the show. Calgary Stampede Insiders will have the opportunity to pre-purchase tickets beginning on Monday, Jan. 26 at 10 a.m. MT.
