Aby Management LLC, based in Hazelton, West Virginia, purchased the property from Mountain View Hotel Management LLC, based in Warrenton, Virginia. The hotel was built in 2007.
The Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Hazelton/Bruceton Mills is located along Interstate 68 between Morgantown, West Virginia, and Cumberland, Maryland. The location offers access to Morgantown, home to West Virginia University, which enrolls about 28,000 students annually and draws visitors for academic, sporting, and conference events.
The hotel is near major outdoor recreational areas and is accessible from Interstate 68. It is also the closest lodging to the Federal Correctional Complex Hazelton, a three-prison federal penitentiary complex with approximately 2,000 inmates.
The transaction used the Ten-X platform for the auction process and included a phased transition structure.
