Amal Clooney, 48, Arrives in Venice in Silky Micro Shorts With George Clooney: Photos

Amal Clooney kicked off her Venice stay with a chic, leg-baring look. The international human rights lawyer arrived in Venice with husband George Clooney on Tuesday, September 1, stepping off a water taxi in a polished olive green look that put a sultry spin on traditional suiting.

Amal, 48, wore a silky three-piece ensemble from Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann, as reported by W Magazine. 

The look featured a relaxed blazer, matching tank top, and ultra-short shorts that showed off her legs. She finished the outfit with oversized sunglasses and wore her long brunette hair down.

George, 65, kept his arrival look understated in a dark polo shirt and light-colored trousers as the couple made their way through the Italian city. The couple arrived one day before the official opening of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, which runs from Sept. 2 through Sept. 12.

George will have a major moment of his own during the opening ceremony. Variety reported that the actor and director is set to receive the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement, one of the festival’s top honors; his Jay Kelly costar Laura Dern is scheduled to present the award.
