Arnold Schwarzenegger may be an action hero, but it’s safe to say he’s one proud grandfather.
The legendary actor, businessman, and former Governor of California, 78, recently took the stage at the Austrian World Summit of the Schwarzenegger Climate Initiative in Vienna, Austria. But in a new series of photos shared by his daughter, Katherine Schwarzenegger, for Father’s Day, the action icon looked right at home cuddling with his grandkids.
“Happy Father’s Day to the best dads and Opa!! We love you both so much 🤍,” Katherine captioned the photo set, which showed her husband, Chris Pratt, being a devoted daddy alongside their kids. However, it’s the shots of Schwarzenegger up close and personal with his grandchildren that are much more rare. From snuggling with the kids to propping one up on his lap, “Opa” looks like he’s having the time of his life as a grandparent.
Scroll through the photo set below to see Schwarzenegger enjoying grandparenthood.

Schwarzenegger is an Advocate for ‘People Power”
Last year, Schwarzenegger shared a touching statement following the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
In an appearance at the Schwarzenegger Institute at the University of Southern California, the icon spoke candidly when asked by USC President Beong-Soo Kim about his reaction to the news of Kirk’s death, and the systems he feels are responsible for contributing to the tragedy.
Schwarzenegger noted that he hopes America can turn things around by harnessing its “people power.”
“The people can turn this around. The people have the ultimate power. People always say, ‘Well, what can I do? I’m just an individual,’ but each and every one of you in here can make a difference. You can show leadership,” he said, encouraging students from different parties to communicate and solve problems together. “How you don’t see the other side as the enemy, or to fight fire with fire, like they’re saying today, or to declare war on each other, as they’re saying today. You can show leadership, and you can get together and be this example. Because remember, the people’s power is the ultimate power. That’s what democracy is all about.”

What’s Next for Arnold Schwarzenegger?
The Austrian icon has an exciting new project coming up alongside Geena Davis. Deadline just reported that Schwarzenegger is set to join The Kellys, a new action film from Amazon MGM. He’ll star alongside Davis, Liam Hemsworth, Kelsey Asbille, and Abby Elliott. According to the provided synopsis, The Kellys follows Jack Kelly, a disgraced NYC cop whose wife, Molly, is taken hostage by terrorists inside an old armory building. “He’ll have to join forces with the people he fears most to save her: His family,” the synopsis reads.
