In Brief: Loews Hotels & Co has appointed Brian Johnson as area managing director of its Arlington hotel collection, with responsibility for two operating hotels, a hotel under development and continued oversight of Loews Kansas City Hotel.

Johnson will oversee operations at Live! by Loews – Arlington and Loews Arlington Hotel and Convention Center. He will lead pre-opening efforts for Americana by Loews Hotels, which is under development in Arlington.
Johnson will also continue to oversee Loews Kansas City Hotel.
The Arlington appointment expands Johnson’s responsibilities to include the company’s hotel operations and development activity in the city. Arlington is a location for sporting events, concerts and conventions, including the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Johnson has worked with Loews Hotels & Co for more than 24 years. Before the Arlington appointment, he served as managing director of Loews Kansas City Hotel, where he led the hotel’s opening.
His prior leadership positions included roles at Loews Hollywood Hotel, Loews Coronado Bay Resort, Lake Las Vegas Resort and Universal Orlando Resort hotels.
