Canada’s largest outdoor movie series hits the big screen at Stanley Park next month

10 June 20262 Mins Read

Long summer days are the best part of the season, but once nightfall arrives, Stanley Park will soon transform into Canada’s largest outdoor movie series: Evo Summer Cinema.

With all movies screened on a 40-foot-tall projector screen, you’ll feel completely immersed in the viewing experience. So grab your picnic blankets and lawn chairs, and get ready to rally your friends together.

The event has room for thousands of visitors on the Grand Lawn, but space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Otherwise, you have the option to upgrade to VIP with a guaranteed front-row seat (pricing details coming soon), with 250 comfy Adirondack cottage-style chairs up for grabs each screening.

In addition to tasty food trucks, a fully stocked Snack Bar, and the Second Beach Pool Concession, you’ll have plenty of movie snacking options to choose from.

And if last year’s event is any indication, there may be a Zero Proof Bar on-site with a variety of non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase.

When do outdoor movies return to Stanley Park this summer?

Ready to catch a couple of free films under the stars? Grab your bike or book an Evo and get over to Second Beach.

Evo Summer Cinema will take place on Tuesdays from July 14 to Sept. 1 at Ceperley Meadow, between the water and Stanley Park Drive.

Note that organizers highly encourage attendees to leave their dogs at home, and while all screened films are rated either G or PG, the same goes for children.

All BBQs and smoking are prohibited during Evo Summer Cinema.

Stay tuned for the official movie lineup for this summer, coming soon!

When: July 14 to Sept. 1, 2026
Time: Movies start 15 minutes after sunset
Where: Second Beach at Stanley Park
Cost: Free admission
