Cowboys Music Festival is hosting a massive hiring fair in Calgary this weekend

9 April 20263 Mins Read

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to work for one of the biggest music festivals in Calgary, this is your chance to find out. Cowboys Music Festival is hosting a hiring fair on Saturday, April 11, 2026, and it’s looking for people to join the team ahead of the Stampede season. If you thrive in fast-paced, high-energy environments, this is an event you won’t want to miss.

About the hiring fair

Every summer, Cowboys Music Festival becomes one of the go-to spots during the Calgary Stampede, bringing in huge crowds, live music, and some of the biggest parties in the city. With that kind of scale, it takes a full team to keep everything running smoothly from start to finish, and this event is for those 18+ who are ready to step into that environment.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience in the service industry, especially in a fast-paced environment where teamwork, communication and adaptability really matter. It’s also important to note that a valid ProServe certification is required to work in many of these roles, which can be completed online prior to the hiring fair.

Whether you’re looking to build your resume, get your foot in the door, or try something new, working an event like this can give you hands-on experience that goes beyond your typical summer job.

Cowboys is hiring for a wide range of roles depending on your experience and what you’re interested in. Positions include:

  • Bartender
  • Bar Assistant
  • Beer tub/ Shooter Tray
  • Host/ Hostess
  • Support Staff
  • Security
  • Bottle Service
  • Marketing
  • Social Media

Event details

If you’re thinking about attending the hiring fair, it’s best to plan ahead. The event takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Cowboys Dance Hall.

Be sure to RSVP to the event online ahead of time so you don’t miss out. Interviews are not guaranteed after 4 p.m. So it’s important to arrive early to ensure you secure a spot.

Make sure to bring a valid government-issued ID, your resume, and ProServe certification so you’re ready to go.

Hiring events like this tend to get busy, especially with the Stampede season approaching, so arriving early and preparing ahead of time will improve your chances of connecting with the team.

Bottom line, this is a huge opportunity to gain experience, meet the team, and be part of one of Calgary’s biggest events.

Good Luck, Calgary!

When: Saturday, April 11, 2026
Time: 1 to 5 p.m.
Where: Cowboys Dance Hall – 421 12th Ave. SE, Calgary, Alta.
Cost: Free
