If your living room has recently been transformed into a dance floor or an obstacle course, chances are you’re already familiar with Danny Go!. Now, the wildly popular live-action children’s show is officially making the leap from YouTube to Netflix.

Starting April 6, Netflix will be dropping five action-packed episodes of the hit educational series, bringing fan-favorite bops like “The Wiggle Dance!” and “‘Ka-Pow!’ Superhero Dance” directly to the streaming platform. This kind of roll-out has now become synonymous with Netflix’s kids offerings, particularly YouTube transplants, with episode drops coming in small packages but often over a quick period of time.

Aimed at kids ages 3 to 7, Danny Go! isn’t your average sit-and-watch kids’ programming. The show is specifically designed to get kids off the couch and burn energy. It blends original music, downright silly choreography, interactive games, and real-life exploration into an energetic format that keeps young viewers moving while they learn.

The YouTube channel has close to 4.5M subscribers and attracts millions of views every day. In fact, according to SocialBlade, the channel just recently hit a record of over 200 million views in a single month.

If you are new to the Danny Go! universe, here is a quick rundown of the massive phenomenon heading to Netflix:

  • The Creators: The show stars Daniel Coleman (the titular “Danny”), who co-created the series with his wife Mindy and his childhood best friends, Michael Finster and Matthew Padgett.
  • Humble Beginnings to Massive Hits: Launched in 2019 out of a studio in Charlotte, North Carolina, the channel has exploded. It currently boasts over 4.5 million subscribers and nearly 5 billion lifetime views on YouTube.
  • Classroom Approved: The engaging music and movement format hasn’t just won over parents; it’s heavily utilized in classrooms around the globe to help kids get their wiggles out.

The first Netflix drop will include the highly requested “Escape from Tiger Island!” adventure, alongside a collection of their most viral songs.

The Latest in the YouTube to Netflix Pipeline

Netflix has been steadily building a slate of family programming that bridges the gap between YouTube and premium streaming. Daniel Coleman and his crew are joining an impressive roster of online creators who have recently collaborated with Netflix, including Ms. Rachel, Mark Rober, Salish and Jordan Matter, and Alan Chikin Chow.

These creator-led projects sit comfortably alongside Netflix’s established heavyweight kids’ lineup, which features staples like Sesame Street, Gabby’s Dollhouse, Peppa Pig, Blippi’s Job Show, KPop Demon Hunters, and the animated feature Leo.

What’s on Netflix contributor and proprietor of The Kids StreamerSphere thinks Danny Go is the next perfect addition to the Netflix library, telling us, “Netflix has been leaning into YouTube content for kids for many years, and has increasingly moved to doing direct deals with the creators themselves. Ms. Rachel was a massive new entry into the kids Top 10 in 2025, Mark Rober’s CrunchLabs had a strong launch, and Danny Go is the perfect addition to that roster.”

You can catch the first five episodes of Danny Go! streaming globally on Netflix starting April 6.
