David Letterman and Zach Galifianakis join Just For Laughs lineup in Vancouver

Just For Laughs Vancouver is turning 10 this year, and to celebrate, the iconic comedy festival has what is perhaps its most star-studded lineup yet. Next month, legendary host and comedian David Letterman will make his Just For Laughs debut, marking his first time performing in Canada since 1978!

One of the biggest names in late-night TV, Letterman will perform at JFL with “An Evening with David Letterman and Special Guest Zach Galifianakis.” The performance will be a special in-conversation event between Letterman and equally iconic comic, actor, and host, Zach Galifianakis, who is best known for his roles in The Hangover trilogy, The Campaign, and Dinner for Schmucks, but Galifianakis has many additional credits to his name. This includes his animation work in G-Force and Lilo and Stitch, and creating the Emmy-nominated series, Baskets.

Letterman spent over 33 years on late-night television, making him the longest-running late-night broadcaster in American history. He’s also one of the most-nominated individuals in Emmy Award history, with 52 nominations and 10 wins under his belt for his writing, performing, and producing.

“As we celebrate our 10th anniversary, I couldn’t imagine a more fitting way to honour a decade of bringing world-class comedy to Vancouver than by welcoming David Letterman and Zach Galifianakis to the festival,” says Heather Wallace, Founding Partner and Festival Director of Just For Laughs Vancouver. “This year’s lineup is packed with exceptional local and international talent, and we’re proud to keep delivering these incredible moments to the fans who make Vancouver such a vibrant comedy city.”

Other touring comedians performing at this year’s festival include Atsuko Okatsuka, Phil Rosenthal, Nimesh Patel, Connor Wood, Joe List, Grace Helbig, Rosebud Baker, and Dan Duval, among others.

When do tickets go on sale?

The special evening at JFL will take place on Feb. 18, 2026, at Queen Elizabeth Theatre, with GA tickets going on sale on Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026, at 10 a.m. To access pre-sale tickets the day before, you can sign up for JFL’s mailing list.

Just For Laughs takes place from Feb. 12 to 22, 2026, with shows popping up at venues across the city. Now is a great time to check out where and when all participants will be performing, and look into some of their work!
