Days of Our Lives Promo: Romance and Farewells

Romance is in the air, and the end of an era has appeared, as the latest Days of Our Lives promo for February 16 through 20, 2026 teases the drama ahead on the Peacock streaming series.

The promo opens with several Salem couples celebrating Valentine’s Day. Abe Carver (James Reynolds) and Paulina Carver (Jackée Harry), Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans), Brady Black (Eric Martsolf), and Sarah Horton Kirakis (Linsey Godfrey) are all shown sharing romantic moments.

Philip Kirakis (John Paul Lavoisier) and Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez), Alex Kirakis (Robert Scott Wilson) and his new wife Stephanie Kiriakis (Abigail Klein) are also featured in affectionate scenes.

Xander Kirakis (Paul Telfer) appears in a heated moment that ends with him falling back onto a bed.

Meanwhile, Theo Carver (Tyler Andrew Josephs) appears to daydream about Gabi while on a date with Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu).

The prom closes on an emotional note, with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) visiting his late wife Abigail DiMera’s gravesite. Chad tells Abigail that he is taking their children to Arizona but assures her that he will carry her with him wherever he goes.

Additional scenes show Jennifer Deveraux (Melissa Reeves), Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford), and Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) saying goodbye to Chad and his kids, Thomas DiMera (Cary Chrisopher) and Charolette DiMera.

In the comment sections, fans quickly shared their thoughts and opinions on the various storylines.

One user wrote, “Guessing Chad might look different when he returns 🤔 And I’ll say it, I’m good with Xander/Gwen🤭”

A second user added, “Billy Flinn will be missed! He was the best actor to play Chad, nobody can replace him.”

A third fan added, “We need more Maggie, Marlena and Julie gatherings or a great storyline that connects them all. We cannot keep these female Titans in the shadows since they’re all widows on Days!”

Last week Parade ask readers What might the future hold for Chad and Cat’s relationship on Days of Our Lives? 33% of respondents believe Cat moves on without Chad, while 28% believe the couple will have a romantic reunion after Chad’s return (with Conner Floyd in the role). 25% believe Chad’s new circumstances in Arizona open new possibilities, while 14% believe Chad keeps his promise to stay away from Cat romantically.
