The legendary indoor coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is officially trading its classic rock roots for a heavy dose of felt and fur.
After months of silence behind construction walls, the high-speed attraction is set to return to the streets of Tinsel Town on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. This reimagined experience, now titled Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, marks a colorful new chapter for the ride that has anchored the park’s Sunset Boulevard since 1999.
The updated storyline brings guests into the heart of G-Force Records, where Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem are frantically rehearsing their hit “Can You Picture That?” Realizing they are running late for a major performance across town, the band recruits riders to join them in a frantic, high-velocity limousine dash.

This journey through Hollywood now features iconic landmarks that have been given a distinct Muppet-inspired makeover, ensuring the humor is as fast-paced as the launch itself.
To keep the experience fresh for repeat visitors, the attraction features a randomized soundtrack of high-energy covers performed by the Electric Mayhem. Riders might blast through the loop to “Song 2” or catch a unique rendition of “Born To Be Wild” featuring the vocal talents of Camilla the Chicken.

The setlist is further elevated by an impressive roster of guest collaborators, including Jennifer Hudson and Questlove on “Love Rollercoaster,” Def Leppard joining in for “Rock! Rock!
