DoubleTree by Hilton Ashbourne Hotel Scheduled to Open in Early 2027

Hilton has signed an agreement to convert a 156-room hotel in Ashbourne, near Dublin, into DoubleTree by Hilton Ashbourne. The property is expected to open in early 2027 and will be the first DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in the Republic of Ireland.

The hotel will undergo refurbishment work covering guest rooms, public spaces, restaurants and bars. It is located approximately 25 minutes from Dublin Airport.

The Ashbourne signing follows the opening of Home2 Suites by Hilton Dublin City Centre, a 290-suite property near O’Connell Street. The opening marked the European debut of the Home2 Suites by Hilton brand. The hotel provides apartment-style accommodation for short and longer stays.

Hilton also recently signed Cork City Centre, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, in partnership with JMK Group. The 103-room hotel is expected to open in 2027 on South Terrace in Cork.

The Cork property will include standard guest rooms, extended-stay accommodation, a restaurant, bar and fitness facilities. The signing marks Hilton’s first hotel project in Cork.

Hilton’s planned openings and signings in Ireland are expected to create more than 150 jobs, bringing the number of team members at Hilton hotels in Ireland to nearly 1,000. The company currently operates eight hotels across six brands in Ireland.

In Northern Ireland, The Marcus Portrush, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, marked the Tapestry Collection brand’s debut in the region when it opened. Hilton recently marked the one-year anniversary of that opening.

Hilton has also signed DoubleTree by Hilton Belfast City Ten Square and DoubleTree by Hilton Derry-Londonderry. A Tempo by Hilton Belfast City Centre hotel is also planned.

Tempo by Hilton Belfast City Centre is expected to be the first Tempo by Hilton opening outside the United States.
