Drake is already one of the top solo male acts of all time, and if rumours are true, the Toronto-based rapper can now add another accolade to his impressive résumé: Texas saddle shop owner! There’s growing speculation that Drake may be behind the revival of Brenham Saddle Shop. The historic western wear store near the rapper’s $15-million, 313-acre Texas ranch closed last year after 65 years in business, and now, the shop has officially announced it’s reopening this fall.

Drake’s connection to the store goes way back. He visited the shop several times throughout 2024, posing with the owners in cowboy gear and even receiving a custom Drake-themed cake over the holidays!
When the business closed its doors in April 2025, former owner Sage Nutt told a local news station that it might not be the end, adding that he was “very excited” about the possibility of someone coming in and doing something with the shop.
It didn’t take long for rumours to start swirling that that someone was Drake.
According to Chron, the rumours really picked up in late May 2025, when someone resembling Drake was spotted outside the recently shuttered shop. Then, that June, Brenham Saddle Shop posted a cryptic Instagram photo of its giant cowboy sign with the message, “The legacy continues … see you all again soon.”
Drake reposted the teaser to his own Instagram Story at the time, adding even more fuel to the rumours.
And, perhaps the pièce de résistance: On Sunday, @roundtopfinds shared a photo of Drake wearing a Brenham hoodie and announced that “Chappell Hill’s Very Own @champagnepapi is continuing the legendary @brenhamsaddleshop, opening FALL 2026.”

And because we need the receipts, there’s even a paper trail. Texas-based local news outlet KBTX reported that trademark filings for Brenham Saddle Shop have ties to ADG Vanguard IP LLC, a company connected to some of Drake’s previous business ventures!
Drake hasn’t publicly confirmed his involvement, and Brenham’s exact reopening date hasn’t yet been announced, but people seem pretty happy that Champagne Papi’s cowboy era may be getting a little more official.
“This was the talk of the town months ago, guess it’s finally happening!” one Instagram user said, while another added, “Love his heart & love for Texas already!!!”
