El Cortez Hotel & Casino has announced several executive leadership appointments, including promotions and new hires for key vice president and general manager roles.
El Cortez Hotel & Casino has promoted Adam Wiesberg to Vice President and General Manager, overseeing all property operations. Wiesberg joined El Cortez in 2015 and has held roles including Table Games Shift Manager, Marketing Director, and Assistant General Manager.
Patrick Lazarus has been named Vice President and Director of Casino Operations, responsible for day-to-day management of the casino floor, including slots and table games. Lazarus has been with El Cortez since 2012, previously serving as Table Games Shift Manager and Casino Manager.
Nords Malilay has been appointed Vice President of Player Development and Casino Marketing. Malilay joined the El Cortez leadership team in 2005 and will continue to focus on player engagement and casino marketing efforts.
Bart Mahoney has joined El Cortez as Vice President of Hospitality. Mahoney will oversee all food and beverage operations at the property, including changes to the main restaurant, Siegel’s 1941. Mahoney brings over 20 years of experience from positions at Resorts World, Golden Entertainment, and Wynn Resorts.
The leadership appointments coincide with the property’s 85th anniversary. Last year, El Cortez completed a $20 million expansion that included a new high-limit lounge, new cocktail bars, and new restaurants. The property also has renovations planned for 2026.
El Cortez Hotel & Casino is located in Downtown Las Vegas. These leadership changes are part of its ongoing development as it marks its 85th year of operation.
