Embrace the season at these cozy cabins in Ontario

4 February 20263 Mins Read

I love leaving the city in the winter, not to escape the cold, but to embrace it. Ontario is full of little winter getaways where you can relax by the fire, snuggle up on the couch, or hike the surrounding area. Trying to find the perfect place can be overwhelming, but as always, I’m here to help you narrow it down.

Pack your weekend bag and get ready to book a stay.

Cabinscape’s Starling Cabin is as gorgeous as it is cozy.

Located in Calabogie, Ont., this little slice of heaven is “suspended above the shores of Calabogie Lake near the base of Dickson Mountain.” From the cabin, guests can take in expansive views of the lake and land below with access to some of the “best hiking trails in Southern Ontario.”

And when I say cozy, I mean cozy, as the space is only 128 square feet – perfect for cuddling.

Where: Calabogie, Ont.
Cost: $179+ per night

This all-season Ontario park has adorable cabins you can book in the winter.

Equipped with a queen bed, couch with fold-out bed, table and chairs, porch, picnic table, campfire pit, electric heat, propane BBQ, microwave, mini-fridge, kettle, coffee maker, 20L potable water, firewood and two pairs of snowshoes, you’re all set for a winter weekend.

Where: 108 Saturn Ave., Box 2430, Atikokan, Ont.
Cost: $92.50 per night

Nestled in the Muskokas, this cabin is probably my favourite on the list. The spot is surrounded by eight acres of private forest, with 15+ foot timber ceilings and gorgeous forest/lake views.

According to the listing, your stay comes with kitchen essentials, a Ninja Foodi Air Fry Oven, electrical cooktops, linens, towels, air conditioning, heating, a pellet stove, an incinerating toilet, BBQ facilities, snowshoes for winter, and a sink with running hot water.

Where: Bracebridge, Ont.
Cost: $347 per night

Another adorable option is Addy’s Cabin. Tucked away in Tweed, Ont., this cabin is quiet and secluded with a wood stove and an indoor fireplace.

It doesn’t get much better than that!

Where: Tweed, Ont.
Cost: $244 per night

This Canada-themed cabin is decked out in wood finishes and pops of red.

Guests can enjoy lakefront views, complimentary snowshoes, complimentary Algonquin Park passes, an indoor fireplace, and an outdoor fire pit!

Where: Golden Lake, Ont.
Cost: $568 per two-night stay (two-night minimum)

Which one of these cozy cabins are you booking, Ontario?
