Four Seasons Hotel Osaka has appointed Oscar Abril Bonthuis as its new Director of Food and Beverage. In this role, Bonthuis will oversee the hotel’s dining concepts and signature offerings.

Bonthuis’s international career includes experience with cruise lines, luxury hotels, and all-suite properties. He began his career at sea, holding operational and guest-facing roles aboard a cruise line and traveling to destinations including Hawaii, French Polynesia, New Zealand, and Indonesia. After returning to land in 2014, he worked in food and beverage roles at hotels in Curacao and Macau. He later joined Four Seasons Hotel Macao, where he advanced from Restaurant Manager to Director of Food and Beverage.

During his tenure at Four Seasons Hotel Macao, Bonthuis contributed to the pre-opening of The Grand Suites, an all-suite property, and was involved in developing multiple dining concepts, including a Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant and a ramen outlet. He also led a large team in Macau’s luxury hospitality market and participated in several regional initiatives for Four Seasons.

Bonthuis was born on the Spanish island of Tenerife and later relocated to the Netherlands, where he earned a degree in hotel and event management. His background includes operational experience and leadership in food and beverage management.

At Four Seasons Hotel Osaka, Bonthuis will focus on refining dining concepts and curating offerings at the property. The hotel’s dining venues are listed on its website.
