ADVENTURE GAMES AT HALLOWEEN
Vancouver Mysteries games run pretty much all year. During the Halloween season, however, the company offers special sessions which are hugely popular. What’s the difference between the games at Halloween and at other times of the year? You can win prizes! With monster and ghost themes, plus darker evenings, the games are extra fun, especially if you dress up in costume.
Halloween Mystery Nights run daily throughout October in 2026. With Halloween Mystery Nights, the games are Secret Mission, Crime in Downtown Vancouver, and Ghost Patrol. Just those three. During the Halloween season (and throughout the year), however, Vancouver Mysteries also has its Heroes & Villains games with both adults’ and children’s versions.
In addition to the Halloween Mystery Nights games, there are also indoor murder mystery games that take place inside downtown Vancouver hotels during the fall. That includes Suite 1313 which is only available for a limited time in October.
Vancouver Mysteries is a local company that puts together various virtual and in-person adventure games. The activities involve team work, finding clues and solving creative mysteries. During the spooky season, there are special Halloween Mystery Nights games.
During October, the company offers three outdoor games with extra twists. There’s Ghost Patrol, Secret Mission, and Crime in Downtown. Teams compete against each other for prizes, and the organizers encourage everyone to dress up in costumes. Tickets for each game are available online and cost about $38 per person. All three games are recommended for ages 12 and above. They are played in teams of two to six players, meaning tickets are available in bundles of two to six.
One game that’s only available to play during the Halloween season is Suite 1313 which is an indoor murder mystery at the Delta Hotel Vancouver Downtown Suites. This experience also includes dinner and drinks, and costs $65 per person.
Also especially perfect for Halloween is the game Heroes & Villains. It comes in two versions. One is for kids ages 6 and older to play with their adult friends and family members. The other is for adults and youth ages 12 and up. With these games, you have superhero powers.

Ghost Patrol Description
Ghost Patrol is the first game offered during Halloween Mystery Nights. It’s also Vancouver Mysteries’ most difficult game. You can play it throughout the year, but it’s especially fun during Halloween Mystery Nights.
With this game, players become paranormal investigators and explore four different hauntings around downtown Vancouver. They also learn about what Vancouver was like during the 1900s. Working in small teams, participants receive coded messages from ghosts that they need to crack.
Secret Mission Description
Secret Mission is a fun outdoor game available in October. As the name of the game suggests, the story is an important mission and players get to become secret agents.
Groups of players intercept a message from BLACKOUT. The dangerous organization poses a threat to the city! During the game, teams work together to crack codes, solve clues and try to save the city from doom.

Crime in Downtown Description
Crime in Downtown is a detective-themed game by Vancouver Mysteries. Players are tasked with solving a cold case mystery in Gastown.
During this game, a fictional character is killed. Teams receive detective kits and everyone tries to solve the murder. There are clues to discover and teams are scored based on how well they are able to piece the crime together.
Suite 1313 Description
One of the indoor games hosted by Vancouver Mysteries, Suite 1313 takes place entirely within the confines of a hotel (the Delta Hotel Vancouver Downtown Suites). It runs from October 8th to 31st in 2026.
Suite 1313 is an escape-room style game where participants have 90 minutes to solve a murder mystery that took place on the 13th floor of the hotel. After the game is over, the party moves downstairs to the Stock & Supply restaurant where guests are entitled to one drink each and a Stock Board that’s shareable between two people.
Heroes & Villains Game Description
Heroes & Villains isn’t one of the three games with extra activities during Halloween Mystery Nights. However, it’s still available to play throughout the season.
Heroes & Villains games are played around the Coal Harbour area of downtown Vancouver. The mission takes participants along the waterfront around the Vancouver Convention Centre and other areas nearby. Along the way, teams decipher clues and use their superhero powers to track down the evil Muck Monster villain.
Compared to Ghost Patrol, Heroes & Villains is a much easier game. All ages are welcome to participate.
