Hilton has appointed Kolin Pound as area president for the Caribbean and Latin America, effective Aug. 24, 2026.
Pound will oversee Hilton’s operations across the Caribbean and Latin America and report to Danny Hughes, president, Americas, Hilton. His responsibilities include leading hotel teams and working with owners and other stakeholders across the region.
Pound joins Hilton from Ares Management, where he was managing director. In that role, he worked with leadership teams on strategy and operations across a portfolio of businesses, including hospitality assets in the Caribbean and Latin America.
Before joining Ares Management, Pound was senior principal at Walton Street Capital, where he worked on asset management and acquisitions in real estate and hospitality. During his career, he has led transactions in Latin America, the United States and Europe and worked with owners, operators and management teams.
Pound holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science and business institutions from Northwestern University.
Hilton has 315 hotels and resorts in more than 35 countries and territories across the Caribbean and Latin America, with 150 additional hotels in development in the region.
