Hilton Signs Agreement for Motto by Hilton Sydney City Centre Hotel to Open in 2027

Hilton has announced the signing of Motto by Hilton Sydney City Centre, marking the debut of the Motto by Hilton brand in Australia with an opening planned for late 2027.

Hilton has signed an agreement with Invictus Developments to introduce the Motto by Hilton brand to Australia with the planned opening of Motto by Hilton Sydney City Centre. The hotel will be located on York Street in Sydney’s central business district, near The Rocks, Darling Harbour, Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, Barangaroo, and the YCK Laneways precinct, and will be positioned between Wynyard and Town Hall stations.

The property is scheduled to open in late 2027 and will feature 152 rooms, including 96 standard rooms, 14 bunk rooms, 14 flex rooms, eight accessible rooms, and 20 suites. 

The hotel will offer communal spaces in the lobby for remote work and social gatherings, a rooftop bar, and food-and-beverage options featuring local concepts, coffee, and mixology. Communal seating and programming will be available for both guests and local residents.

Motto by Hilton Sydney City Centre will be Hilton’s seventh brand in Australia. There are currently 10 Motto by Hilton properties in urban locations worldwide, with 23 additional properties in planning and development.

The hotel will participate in Hilton Honors, Hilton’s guest loyalty program, offering members benefits such as a flexible payment slider, exclusive member discounts, free standard Wi-Fi, and access to the Hilton Honors mobile app.
