Hilton has announced the signing of Spark by Hilton Ponce, a hotel set to open in late 2025 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, marking the brand’s debut in the Caribbean and Latin America.

Hilton has signed an agreement to open Spark by Hilton Ponce in Puerto Rico, marking the introduction of its premium economy brand to the Caribbean and Latin America. The hotel is scheduled to open in late 2025 in Ponce, the second largest city in Puerto Rico. The property will be owned by Ponce Resorts Inc. and managed by HI Development P.R. Corp.

The hotel will be located near Ponce International Airport and Highway 52, which connects Ponce to San Juan. Spark by Hilton Ponce will feature 120 rooms, a meeting space, a breakfast area, and an outdoor pool. The hotel aims to provide essential amenities such as in-room refrigerators, complimentary breakfast, and common spaces designed for dining, working, or socializing.

This development is part of Hilton’s strategy to expand its presence in the Caribbean, where it currently operates approximately 50 hotels and has 40 additional properties in development. In Puerto Rico, Hilton plans to double its presence over the next four years, adding to its existing portfolio of more than 10 hotels on the island.

The introduction of Spark by Hilton in Ponce is part of a broader expansion plan for the brand, which has opened over 160 hotels globally within a year of its launch. The brand has a pipeline of more than 190 hotels, with several conversions underway worldwide.

Guests at Spark by Hilton Ponce will have access to Hilton Honors, the company’s guest loyalty program. This program offers benefits to members who book directly through Hilton’s channels.
