Hilton has announced the signing of two Tapestry Collection by Hilton hotels in Plymouth and Cork, expanding its portfolio in the UK and Ireland.
Hilton has signed agreements for two new Tapestry Collection by Hilton hotels, one in Plymouth, England, and one in Cork, Ireland. The announcement marks the brand’s entry into both cities and is part of Hilton’s expansion of its lifestyle portfolio across the UK and Ireland. The two properties are expected to create approximately 100 jobs.
The New Continental Plymouth, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, will be located in Plymouth city centre on Millbay Road. The hotel, originally built in 1865, will join the Tapestry Collection under a franchise agreement with Elevate Hotels Plymouth Ltd. The property will feature 120 fully renovated guest rooms, meeting facilities, a fitness centre, and a restaurant and bar. The opening is scheduled for spring 2027.
The Cork City Centre, Tapestry Collection by Hilton, will be a new-build property located on South Terrace in Cork City. The hotel will include 103 guest rooms, with a mix of standard rooms and extended-stay accommodation featuring kitchenettes. Facilities will include a restaurant and breakfast area, a bar, and a fitness space. The hotel is expected to open in autumn 2027 in partnership with JMK Group.
The two new signings bring the number of Tapestry Collection properties in regional locations to six, joining existing hotels in Dover, York, Portrush, and St Albans. The announcement follows previous additions to Hilton’s lifestyle brands in the region, including the signing of Motto by Hilton in Manchester, Tempo by Hilton in Belfast, and two Curio Collection by Hilton hotels in London.
