How to snag last-minute World Cup tickets in Vancouver this week

21 April 20263 Mins Read

We’re nearly 50 days away from the start of the 2026 World Cup, and it looks like a new wave of tickets is about to become available for all 104 matches. So if you’re out there scavenging for tickets in Vancouver, now’s your chance!

The new ticket inventory will officially go on sale this week, starting with categories one to three and the front-row seat categories, depending on the match. This ticket drop is part of the ongoing Last-Minute Sales Phase, which runs through the end of the tournament.

Soccer fans can purchase tickets online on a first-come, first-served basis, with additional tickets continuing to be released to the public up until the final game on Sunday, July 19, 2026.

What to expect when buying your ticket

Definitely expect digital queues if you’re planning on snagging tickets at this stage, as they allow FIFA to improve the user experience once fans are admitted. Once you’re out of the queue, you’ll be able to see the available matches and categories, make your seat selection (choose from the seat map or through the “book the best seat” feature), and proceed with payment.

While tickets will be available on an ongoing basis, fans can also check the official (and authorized) Resale/Exchange Marketplace for additional spots.

Want to elevate your game day experience? You also have the option of purchasing one of many hospitality packages, which include match tickets and hospitality through On Location, the Official Hospitality Provider of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

A whopping five million+ tickets have already been sold for the 2026 World Cup, surpassing the 3.5 million attendees of the 1994 FIFA World Cup.

Those who are planning to purchase tickets to a match in another country should keep in mind that their match tickets do not guarantee entry into the host country. Make sure you check the host country’s government website for the most up-to-date VISA information and requirements, and allow for ample processing time.

Note that fans travelling to the U.S. for a match are eligible for the FIFA Priority Appointment Scheduling System (FIFA PASS).

When do World Cup tickets go on sale?

Set your reminders for 8 a.m. PT (11 a.m. ET) on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

Good luck to all World Cup ticket hopefuls!
