IHG Signs Five Hotels in Taiwan

In Brief: IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed agreements to add five new hotels across Taiwan, signaling a significant expansion of its portfolio and offering more branded accommodation options for travelers and developers in the Taiwanese market.

IHG Hotels & Resorts operates 17 hotels across eight brands in Taiwan. The five signed projects are planned for Taipei, Taitung and Pingtung and include HUALUXE Taipei, Crowne Plaza Taitung Zhiben Hot Spring, Holiday Inn Pingtung City Center, voco Taipei Shihlin and Holiday Inn Express Taipei Shihlin.

HUALUXE Taipei will mark the first HUALUXE Hotels & Resorts property in Taiwan. The project is intended to incorporate local heritage, tea, dining and social gatherings.

Crowne Plaza Taitung Zhiben Hot Spring will introduce the Crowne Plaza brand to the Zhiben Hot Spring destination in eastern Taiwan, combining nature with local exploration.

Holiday Inn Pingtung City Center will become the first international branded hotel in Pingtung, southern Taiwan.

voco Taipei Shihlin and Holiday Inn Express Taipei Shihlin are part of a dual-brand development in Taipei. voco Taipei Shihlin will be voco’s first hotel in northern Taiwan and the brand’s first newly built property. It will draw on Shihlin’s cultural heritage, commercial activity and local lifestyle.

IHG also introduced the IHG One Rewards LINE MINI App in Taiwan. Available through LINE, the app enables members to register, review points, check membership status and benefits, access hotel information and make reservations.
