A product recall has been issued in Canada for ingredients in some Hello Fresh meal kits.

It’s related to possible Listeria contamination that could cause illness and even death.

This food recall warning was posted by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency on March 30, 2026.

Cheese ingredients included in certain Hello Fresh meal kits are the affected products in this recall. These ingredients might be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

According to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, the recalled items were sold nationally.

But there have been no reported illnesses in Canada related to the consumption of these products.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said to check if you have recalled products and not to consume, serve, use, sell, or distribute them.

Recalled products should be thrown out or returned to where they were purchased.

If you think you became sick from consuming a recalled product, you’re being told to contact your healthcare provider.

Food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes might not look or smell spoiled, but can still make you sick.

Symptoms include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness.

According to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, pregnant people, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems are “particularly at risk.”

Even though infected pregnant people may experience only mild flu-like symptoms, the infection can lead to premature delivery, infection of the newborn or stillbirth.

In severe cases of illness related to Listeria monocytogenes, there is the possibility of death.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is conducting a food safety investigation that could lead to the recall of other products.
