Jean-Alexis Appointed General Manager of Eden Rock

Oetker Hotels and Eden Rock – St Barths announced that Fabrice, currently General Manager of Eden Rock, will become President and Managing Director of Le Bristol Paris in October 2026. Fabrice will also join the Executive Committee of Oetker Hotels. Jean-Alexis, who has served as Fabrice’s deputy for several years, will assume the role of General Manager at Eden Rock – St Barths, while Fabrice remains connected to the property.

Fabrice, recognized as Best Hotelier at DUCO France 2025, will take on his new role as Le Bristol Paris enters its second century following its centennial year. Over more than a decade, Fabrice has worked closely with David and Jane Matthews, creators of Eden Rock – St Barths, contributing to the hotel’s operations and the development of Eden Rock Villa Rental, Eden Rock Boutiques, Eden Rock Yacht Rental, and collaborations with brands such as Chopard, Goyard, and Assouline.

Fabrice and Jean-Alexis have worked in partnership with the Matthews family, majority shareholders of Eden Rock – St Barths, guiding the hotel through a two-year rebuilding and restoration after Hurricane Irma and overseeing a period of commercial growth. Following the restoration, Eden Rock has been consistently recognized among the world’s top resorts and hotels, earning accolades in the World’s 50 Best Hotels, Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards, and Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards.

Fabrice began his career at Hotel Barrière Le Normandy Deauville. Jean-Alexis started his career at Le Bristol Paris 25 years ago, advancing through Rooms Division and Front Office leadership roles, and now steps into the position of General Manager at Eden Rock – St Barths.
